As Trieste moves from autumn to winter, we look at some ways to enjoy November in our city and the rest of Friuli Venezia Giulia, with tips and suggestions for each day of the month.

1 Nov. Enjoy the All Saint’s Day holiday with a view from Faro della Vittoria.
2 Nov. Get on your bike and explore the magnificent Giordano Cottur path from San Giacomo neighborhood to Slovenia.
3 Nov. Trieste celebrates San Giusto, it’s patron saint’s day, with a public holiday.
4 Nov. Take a train (an hour from Trieste) to Udine and explore the many museums around town.
5 Nov. Pick up a pumpkin and prepare a tasty risotto with gorgonzola.

6 Nov. Travel back in time and taste some delicious ham in San Daniele dei Friuli, a worthwhile day trip from Trieste.
7 Nov. Be inspired by the new exhibit at Museo Sartorio.
8 Nov. Enjoy a night out at the Verdi theater with the first opera of the season, ‘Manon Lescaut’, at 8.30 pm.
9 Nov. Join the weekly multicultural aperitivo organized by ‘Expats in Trieste‘ from 7 pm on at Bar Tergesteo (piazza Verdi). Open to everyone, the weekly international aperitivi are a great way to make friends and have fun.
10 Nov. Order-in some cozy and delicious rice Pilaf from the Lebanese restaurant near viale XX Settembre.

11 Nov. Enjoy a caffelatte (or what we call a cappuccino here in Trieste) with a view at Eataly.
12 Nov. Book a visit to the Miramare Castle to see the unique Ars Botanica exhibit.
13 Nov. Take your kids to Lignano Sabbiadoro’s zoo for a day of fun.
14 Nov. Take a walk through the lesser-visited Parco di Villa Revoltella.
15 Nov. Immerse yourself in the world of Barone Revoltella at the Revoltella Museum.
16 Nov. For a simple brunch with a friend try Mimì e Cocotte in città vecchia.
17 Nov. Enjoy an evening of classical music at the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
18 Nov. Take a walk down via Besenghi in San Vito and admire the beautiful villas.
